She explained, "From what I understand about social media culture, is that everyone wants prominence, views and virality, so if they are making content about you, you’re just a scapegoat, they’re just using your name for clickbait, rage bait and whatever else it is to further their engagement." Essentially, she suggests that for many content creators, you're merely a pawn in their game for likes and shares. Once you grasp this, their harsh words lose their power because they have "nothing to do with you."
And this is the part most people miss... While Janhvi has learned to emotionally distance herself, she admitted it's incredibly difficult to witness the relentless trolling her brother, Arjun, faces. "It hurts... there’s no excuse for that behaviour," she stated emphatically. She acknowledges that everyone is just trying to make a living, and in this transactional digital world, it's often "stupid to occupy your brain for more than five minutes with this." However, when that negativity escalates into outright bullying and harassment, as she's seen with Arjun, it crosses a line. Janhvi's advice? "Negativity fuels negativity, and you just have to remove yourself from it."
